About
I’ve always had a passion for finances. I knew this was odd at an early age but it has served me well in my adult life. It all started with a lemonade stand, which provided me with the money to buy something I wanted. Not only my first job, I was self-employed and loved it.
After going to college I received a graduation gift from my parents and grandparents, which was enough cash for a down payment on a car. My big plans after college meant I would need a new set of wheels to change the world. In hindsight, this wasn’t the wisest decision and put me even further in debt. Combined with a small spending spree for new work clothes when I found a new job, I was soon over $60,000 in debt and the small payments I could afford were barely the minimum. It was then that I realized I would need to come up with a plan or I would be carrying this balance for a long time, and it would prohibit me from saving and achieving other personal goals. This is my journey and some of the things I learned along the way.
